Pray for Your Leaders – With Apostle Joseph Ziba
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For Kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJV
For various reasons some don’t see the need for praying for those in authority. They think some leaders don’t deserve our prayers.
However, from the Scripture above, Apostle Paul by the Spirit of God reiterates the necessity of praying for our leaders. He says pray for everybody ESPECIALLY those in authority so that you shall lead a quiet and peaceable life.
If leaders are lost, we are lost indeed.
Leaders determine the future and direction of a family, church, society and a nation at large. The Bible says I’ll strike the shepherd and scatter the sheep. (See Zechariah 13:7 and Matthew 26:31). If leaders are lost, we are lost indeed. Hence a need to pray so that God should give wisdom and direct the leaders in the way He wants them to lead you.
PRAYER
Precious Lord, thank You for giving me leaders in my church, family, school, work place, society and nation at large. Give them understanding and wisdom so that they should direct us and lead us in the fear of You. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
