Not this Hierarchical Order of Love – Monday, 23rd March, 2020
”Jesus said unto him, Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38 KJV
Many have had a major controversial argument over what comes first, second and third in their lives. Consequently, some have concluded that God comes first, then family and then ministry. This sadly, though it is not at all Scriptural, has been accepted by people.
First of all, the word “first” in verse 38 of the opening Scripture above is “protos” in Greek and it does not only translate to “first” as of position but translates also to “time” as in what comes first in terms of “place”, “order” and “importance”. You see, God should never be placed at any position— He is behind everything and at the center of all things.
If you genuinely love God. True love for your family and ministry will emanate from what you get in God.

If you try to position or order things in your life, you will think that you need a special kind of love for your family, God and ministry. However, it will not be hard for you to love your family or your ministry (with that unique love of God) if you genuinely love God. True love for your family and ministry will emanate from what you get in God.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for opening my eyes to see what is most important in my life. You are at the center of everything in my life. You are all I need to be able to perfectly love my family and my ministry. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
