Too Blessed to be Cursed with Apostle Joseph Ziba
”And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.” Numbers 22:12 KJV
Since I believed and confessed Jesus Christ, I discovered that there’s nothing called ‘generational curses’ for a child of God. Here’s why.
In the 19th chapter of the Epistle of John in verses 28 and 29, we see Jesus being given sour wine (vinegar) by the soldiers for a drink to quench His thirst. That happened when He was on the Cross as a fulfillment of Psalm 69:21 which says “They gave me gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.” What was so special about that vinegar? Let’s find out.
In the Old Testament, children used to suffer for the sins (mistakes) of their parents. And they used a popular proverb ”The fathers have eaten a sour grape [vinegar], and the children’s teeth are set on edge” to signify the sufferings that children would have to undergo because of inequities of their parents. But that had to come to an end!
No wonder the Holy Spirit, through Prophet Jeremiah, declared that ”In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge. But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.”
In the New Testament every man suffers for his own mistakes. We, therefore, can conclude that ‘generational curses’ don’t exist.

Therefore, when Jesus was on the Cross, just before He died, He had to nullify the ‘generational curses’ by drinking the sour grapes and dying thereafter to signify the end of ‘generational curses’.
Jesus rose from the dead with a new life. The very life that He has given to us. (1 John 5:13). Thus, in the New Testament every man suffers for his own mistakes. We, therefore, can conclude that ‘generational curses’ don’t exist.
Don’t allow anyone to fool you or manipulate you that you have ‘generational curses’. You are the blessed one of God and no curse can flourish on you. The Bible declares that you are blessed: ”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath BLESSED US with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ…” (Ephesians 1:3). Glory to God!
CONFESSION
I am the blessed one of God. Curses cannot flourish in me. I know no stagnation. Because of God’s blessings upon me, I keep on shining in all spheres of my life. I am soaring in my career, I am moving forward in my business, I am flourishing in my ministry, I am excelling in my family and in all areas of my life because of God’s lavish blessings upon me. In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
