Separate Truths from Facts – With Apostle Joseph Ziba
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 KJV
Facts and truths differ. A fact is a statement or a conclusion based on scientific research. The truth is the reality— that which God the Father says concerning you or your situation.
One time before I started the full time ministry as a pastor, I was invited to attend a certain interview for a job at a bank. And as their custom, they needed to do some medical checkups to see whether, as prospective employees, we had some medical conditions.
When my medical report came out, the nurse who carried it looked at me and sympathetically asked “Sir are you okay?” And I replied “Yes, I am very fine”. Then she continued to say, “I can’t believe it that you are still looking sound and strong, you ought to have been in sickbed by now because your blood is full of bacterial load for some infection”. I gazed at her, I smiled and chuckled and said, “Nurse, thank you so much for the facts you are telling me; it may be right that I have millions of bacteria in my blood. However, God by the truth in His word tells me that by the stripes of Jesus Christ I am healed and I don’t get sick.”
That was the end of the story and I never experienced the disease she supposed I had. I inclined my trust to the truth of God’s word and not to the fact outlined in the medical report.
The opening verse above is an antidote for facts; it says “…..the truth shall MAKE YOU FREE” from facts of the world.
The world may have concluded that you are sick, jobless, poor, barren, et cetera. But is that what the truth says? Absolutely no!
Once you are full of the truth of God you will not be affected by the facts in the world. The Word of God is the truth (John 17:17). Therefore, be a Word addict and you will escape and defeat facts in the world.
CONFESSION
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for You always speak realities to me. I am a lover of your Word therefore I don’t get affected by worldly facts. I live by the truth and not by facts, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
