The Glory of Kings – Monday, 19th October, 2020
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” Proverbs 25:2 (KJV)
The beauty of the above Proverb is that the writer, King Solomon, was sharing one of the top secrets of his life. The Bible depicts Solomon as one of the glorious kings who ever lived, and worthy learning from, despite his tragic end. He reveals to us that his zeal and zest for investigating matters hidden by God made him great and glorious among his contemporaries.
If you want to be distinguished in any area, you have to spend quality time searching out what is not making sense to many.

If you want to be distinguished in any area, you have to spend quality time searching out what is not making sense to many. In so doing, you will be one in a billion in that area, and a crown of an honourable king will follow you.
Sometimes God plays hide and seek. He hides your miracle, breakthrough, promotion, answer and so on so that you can search for it and find it. He knows that spoon feeding produces no glorious king.
Go an extra mile at your work place, school, business, ministry et cetera by searching out that which is hidden. Read books about it, seek the face of God in prayer, bury yourself in the guidance of the Spirit of God and embrace His counsel and the Lord will reveal everything to you.
By getting a revelation from God of what no other man knows, you’ll automatically deal with competition in your area of specialisation. In the end you’ll be a shining star and the most sought after person in that area just like Daniel and Joseph of old were in their earthly days (See Genesis 41:37-39 and Daniel 2:18;6:3).
PRAYER
Dear Lord, thank You for enlarging my heart to accommodate great treasures. From today I will not be lazy in searching out matters, I will strive to be the best in life for Your glory. In Jesus name, Amen!
