SEEDS OF VICTORY With Apostle Joseph Ziba

Vision versus Ambition of Life – Monday, 16th March, 2020

“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Habakkuk 2:1-2 KJV

“Vision” is one of the most misunderstood words of our time. Many define vision as having a mental picture of where you are going or what you want to achieve in life. They say, you have to go to the drawing board and put in black and white what you see yourself becoming and how you’ll get there. Although this definition makes sense to many, but it’s erroneous since it is a typical description of what an ambition is.

An ambition is built from your natural senses— what you see, what you hear, what you feel, what you taste from your environment. All these create mental pictures and birth inspirations in you, such that you start chasing after them thinking that you are pursuing a vision. This is sad because ambitions have a higher probability of failing.

Vision is indeed sight, but it comes from the Spirit of God. The Bible says, “Where there is NO VISION, the people perish….” (Proverbs 29:18).

The Message Translation (MSG) Bible Version, puts this same verse beautifully:

“If people CAN’T SEE WHAT GOD IS DOING, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he REVEALS, they are most blessed.”

Vision is simply seeing what God is doing concerning your life

Apostle Joseph Ziba, Seeds of Victory, 16 March, 2020

You see, vision is simply seeing what God is doing concerning your life. No wonder, in the verses from Habakkuk above, Habakkuk first ‘saw’ what God said (what He was doing) and then wrote it down. A vision is developed from within; you first see it in God-with your spiritual eyes, then you write it down and start pursuing it. Vision is sight and what falls within your sight is within your reach. What do you see about yourself? Are you pursuing a vision or an ambition? It’s high time you sat down and considered this so that you shouldn’t waste your precious time on earth.

PRAYER

Dear Precious Father, You’ve flooded my eyes with Your light from the Scriptures today concerning vision and ambition and I am very grateful. Keep enlightening the eyes of my understanding so that I should know the right things to do at the right time. I am not ready to pursue ambitions; I want to focus on that which you want me to do on this earth so that I should live a fulfilled life. In the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
